1. Two contracts, not one
When you buy a phone on the platform, your contract is with the seller: they deliver, they take the money, they are the one you claim from. We do not step into that sale and no money passes through us.
When you buy a boost or a Pro subscription, your contract is with us. The two situations are dealt with separately below.
2. Sales between users
- The seller is whoever posted the listing. They set the price, the handover terms and any delivery fee.
- Prices are shown in CFA francs (XAF), all taxes included. Delivery fees, where they apply, are added and stated separately.
- An order placed on the platform is an intention to buy, passed on to the seller. The sale is formed when the seller confirms it.
- Payment goes straight to the seller, at handover: cash, MTN Mobile Money, Orange Money or Tara Money, whichever the two sides agree on.
- No online payment is collected by the platform. There is no escrow and no refund guarantee from us, because we never hold the money.
- The total fixed at order time is the one the buyer accepted: a later change to the listing's price does not apply to it.
3. What the seller owes
- Describing the item honestly: real condition, faults, what is included, how many are available.
- Honouring the price shown at the time of the order.
- Replying within a reasonable time and saying so as soon as an item is gone.
- Handing the item over on the terms agreed — place, date, method.
- Meeting the legal guarantees owed to the buyer, in particular conformity and hidden defects, under Law No. 2011/012 on consumer protection.
- If selling as a business: saying so, meeting their tax obligations, and providing proof of purchase when the buyer asks.
4. What the buyer owes
- Checking the item at handover, before paying. That is the only moment when checking really protects you.
- Paying the agreed price, by the agreed means.
- Telling the seller if you cannot make it rather than leaving them waiting: an order dropped without a word is someone's wasted afternoon.
5. Claims on a sale
Report any problem within 24 hours of handover, from the order screen or with the listing's “Report” button. After that, establishing what happened becomes very hard.
We pass the claim on, and we can remove a listing, withdraw a badge or close a seller's account. We do not refund a sale we never collected: a refund, where one is due, comes from the seller.
6. Visibility boosts
A boost puts a listing forward. There are three formats, priced differently because they do not sell the same thing.
- Bump — a daily rate. The daily price is the category rate multiplied by the tier: 300 XAF a day in the market, 500 XAF a day for job offers, for “Visibility +”; twice that for “Top of category”; three times for “Front page”. Available durations: 3, 7, 15 or 30 days.
- Spotlight — a budget of views rather than a duration: 100 views for 3,900 XAF, 300 views for 9,900 XAF, 600 views for 17,900 XAF.
- Mega-boost — one hour up front, 2,900 XAF or 100 Wassa Points.
The price is recalculated by our server at the moment of purchase: the amount charged is the one in the scale above, whatever the screen may show.
7. The Pro subscription
- 5,000 XAF a month, with no automatic renewal.
- Four durations, each with its own discount: 1 month at full price, 3 months −5%, 6 months −10%, 12 months −20%.
- The total is rounded to the nearest hundred francs, because nobody hands over 4,750 XAF in cash.
- The subscription opens the Pro features: bundles and variants, catalogues, extra photos, the Pro badge.
- It does not renew by itself. At the end of the term the account returns to the free tier and the listings stay online.
8. Paying for and activating a paid service
- Payment is made by Mobile Money — MTN, Orange or Tara — to the number shown on the service's order screen.
- The service is activated once the payment is confirmed. That confirmation is done by our team: it is not instant.
- A boost paid for in Wassa Points activates immediately, since the points are already on the account.
- Prices are in CFA francs, all taxes included.
- Keep the operator's confirmation message: that is your proof of payment.
9. Cancellation and refunds
A boost and a subscription are digital services performed as soon as they are activated, at your express request. Once the service has started it can no longer be cancelled.
- If the service you paid for was never activated, you get a full refund or the activation — your choice.
- If the service was interrupted by a failure on our side, the unserved portion is refunded or extended.
- No contact and no sale during a boost gives no right to a refund: what is sold is the exposure, not the outcome.
- An account closed for breaching our terms gives no right to a refund of services in progress.
10. Price changes
Prices may change. The price that applies is the one shown when you order, and a change never applies to a service already paid for.
11. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by Cameroonian law, in particular Law No. 2010/021 on electronic commerce and Law No. 2011/012 on consumer protection. If something goes wrong, write to us first; failing an amicable settlement, the dispute falls to the competent Cameroonian courts.
